In this season of Book Fairs across Assam , I feel, the real flagbearers of Assamese literature now are all women. In recent times, male authors are far behind in quality and popularity as compared to female Assamese authors. Notable female authors Rita Chaudhury , Juri Borah Borgohain and Monalisha Saikia are now miles ahead.
