I do not have a credit card.In a place like Dibrugarh , you don't need a credit card.As I do not have a credit card , I cannot buy paid apps from App Store of Apple. So I asked two persons to help me out, of course , with the promise to pay them back. Well, they did not give the apps as gift to me. This is Assamese people. This evening , I was lamenting about not having paid apps to Tamil man living in Mumbai.Without my asking he sent me iTunes gift card worth Rs 500 , much more than I need. I am touched.

Shyamkanu Mahanta is an engineer turned entrepreneur who built dams and power projects and also involved in cultural promotion. The latest being NORTH EAST FESTIVAL to be held in early November. Aabhijeet Sharma is President of Asaam Public Works.The only organisation in Assam that do not seek donation and is doggedly pursuing NRC update case in Supreme Court. When Supreme Court will give verdict on NRC case, all credit will go to him. Assam, my friend, has a great future ahead if youths follow these two men. May their tribe increase

In 1962, he was thrown out of Assam as he was a Bengali. Went to Calcutta, read proof for SOVIET DESH. And he wrote. Under a pseudonym. He wrote in a language whose torchbearers ousted him from his land and for those people who hated his identity. Robin Dey became Rongmon and wrote Dasyu Bhaskar, instilling Assamese nationalistic sentiments in the very Assamese people who did not care two hoots for him. Only after his death it was known that Rongmon was actually a Bengali. Decades after his death its time we salute the great soul and restore what he deserved
