In 1962, he was thrown out of Assam as he was a Bengali. Went to Calcutta, read proof for SOVIET DESH. And he wrote. Under a pseudonym. He wrote in a language whose torchbearers ousted him from his land and for those people who hated his identity. Robin Dey became Rongmon and wrote Dasyu Bhaskar, instilling Assamese nationalistic sentiments in the very Assamese people who did not care two hoots for him. Only after his death it was known that Rongmon was actually a Bengali. Decades after his death its time we salute the great soul and restore what he deserved
