Of all big surprises Barak Valley people never ever asked for a separate state.The reason is simple--- the Hindu Bengalis fear that in a separate state they will have to live under a Muslim CM so it is better to remain a part of Assam.Atleast a Hindu CM is ensured. That is why Barak Valley never demand for separate state no matter how much they hate the Assamese people
