Today is Sati Joymoti Divas. That brave and loyal Ahom princess who suffered immense torture for her ungrateful husband Gadadhar Singha who in his escapeades bedded several women. Gadadhar Singha was so ungrateful that he totally forgot his wife who sacrificed her life. If her son Rudra Singha, arguably the greatest Ahom king, had not immortalised her we would have not heard about this great lady.
