There were three charges against him. 1.Opposing the nation. 2.Opposing the taxes 3.Making himself a king Pontius Pilate, acquitted him but had to refer to King Herod as he was from Galilee.Herod questioned him, he got no answer.So again Pilate had to step in.He sentenced him to flogging and then release.But the crowd at the court of Pontius Pilate cried CRUCIFY HIM.CRUCIFY HIM. And thus the Roman governor bowed down and written a sentence-- JESUS OF NAZARETH, KING OF JEWS IS HEREBY SENTENCED TO CRUCIFIXATION . It was Friday. Good Friday
