Love him or hate him , if you are in India or anyway connected to India you are looking at Narendra Modi as PM candidate. There are reasons why the Gujarat CM is a frontrunner from NDA.He just got a huge mandate in Gujarat and there is a media hype about business friendly environment in Gujarat. To top it the man have a good oratory skill and knows when to seize the limelight.
Ofcourse , there are opposition to Mr.Modi being the PM from Congress and other parties.Congress and several human rights activists have been consistently opposing Mr.Modi.Almost entire Muslim population of India is opposed to the idea of Modi being the PM.The reason ofcourse is the Gujarat violence of 2002 where thousands of Muslims were killed.
Now, the Gujarat violence remains one of the huge negative points of Mr.Modi.There are accusations of him being directly involved in the genocide.Congress and other secular parties bring up this issue and Mr.Modi and his fans get into non stop debate.
However, in this piece , I will refrain from accusing Mr.Modi as the perpetrator of genocide.I will go by his defense that it was an act of unruly mob and that the violence itself was a reaction to the Godhra train burning.I will be assuming Mr.Modi as a good man who did no wrong.
Now, Mr.Modi is one person who portrays the image of doing everything "good" all by himself. His cabinet is nowhere to be seen.He is the sole sailor of the huge ship.
So my question is why on earth the all powerful Narendra Modi and his brigade of intelligence had no prior information about plans to burn a train in Godhra?
Can India afford a PM who is lousy on intelligence?
Following the incident thousands of Indian citizens killed another thousand of Indian citizens. Why did the law and order fail?
Why did the powerful Modi fail to mobilise police force to deter any killing of any Indian citizen?
Did the police not listen to Hriday Samrat?
If he failed to control law and order in Gujarat then how can we expect him to be able to control Indian Armed forces, nuclear arsenal and for that matter 33 Indian provinces?
Will I be safe as an Indian citizen under Modi as PM?
His track record in this regard is not impressive.
Businessmen claims that Mr.Modi hastens bureaucratic process of business setup which includes land acquisition.Apparently , Gujarat population has not opposed to land acquisition but will Indian people in entirety conform to Mr.Modi's pro-business posture.
What will be the status of the poor, downtrodden or for that matter lower middle class when the PM is so fond of big corporates? Will India become No Land for Poor People if Modi is at helm.
Sometime ago I mentioned that Mr.Modi hogs all the limelight with his cabinet almost invisible. But one name stands out Maya Kodnani.Records say she was a minister in his cabinet from 2007.How come a know it all person like Narendra Modi had no clue that Ms Kodnani was involved in a heinous crime? Was it the pressure from BJP leadership to include a mass murderer in his cabinet?
That brings up two question will Modi include criminals in his cabinet if at all he becomes PM?Or for that matter will he succumb to pressure to give criminals plum posts?
You see, I am absolute idiot.I know a little but even my idiot mind is baffled when I try to analyse Mr.Modi's major actions. I see a man who is INCOMPETENT. He could do nothing as a progrom decimated thousands of Indians under his very nose.
I see a man who is OUT OF LOOP. He had no clue that a mass killing of Indian citizens are happening and later he had no clue that his own minister was involved in a mass killing.
I see a man who is BIASED. He doles out red carpet to huge corporates but when it comes to poor children they go malnourished.
Incompetent,Out of Loop and Biased . If that is India's next PM then God save India.
This is a funny article. Kodnani is in Jail.
